Molveno, tourist resort of excellence, surrounded in the eastern end by the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, is best known for the natural environment and its wonderful lake with crystal clear water collected from the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites and the slopes of Paganella.
The village of Molveno, once a destination for relaxation and stay for the European nobility and now accessible for all budgets, offers countless opportunities to unwind in the physical in every season.
“Precious pearl in a more precious casket”, in this way the poet Antonio Fogazzari termed the Lake Molveno, due to the beautiful frame that surrounds it.
The Lake Molveno is a natural alpine lake, dating back to 4000 years ago, created by a giant landslide; it is the second-largest natural lake in Trentino.
There are a lot of possibilities in the summer season on Lake Molveno, from windsurf to canoeing, from sailing to swimming, from fishing to trips on the lake with a rowing boat.
The winter season offers many opportunities for those who love nature and sport. Skiers and snowboarders, for example, have at their disposal the ski area of Paganella with 50 km of slopes, reachable directly from Molveno thanks to the ski-bus service.
We are not the only ones judging Lake Molveno the most beautiful lake in Italy: as a matter of fact it has been declared by Legambiente and Touring Club Italiano, for the third consecutive year, the most beautiful lake in Italy.
The two important institutions also awarded the lake, for the seventh consecutive year, the coveted “Cinque Vele”, awarded for the quality of water, the beach, facilities, safety measures, separation of waste and the actions of environmental education. The Touring Club Italiano also awarded the village of Molveno the recognition of the “Orange Flag”, mark of eco-tourism environment quality for the excellent concierge service and tourism information.
